Ministry expects restart of SSJ100 exports no earlier than in 2022

SKOLKOVO, Oct 14 (PRIME) -- Russia will restart exports of Sukhoi Superjet 100 (SSJ100) planes no earlier than in 2022, Industry and Trade Minister Denis Manturov told reporters on Wednesday.

“Taking into account that all our plans are focused on the internal agenda now, which ensures production loading this year and next year, and even with an overlap to 2022. I think that it objectively can happen no earlier than in 2022,” he said.

“We may raise the capacity, but we will not do that because we want to maintain production at a cost-efficient level of 22–23 machines per year. This is optimal, we base our program on it today.”
